ECH Associate Degree Program Requirements for Field Experiences

All Early Childhood Education (ECH) Associate Degree students must have the following requirements submitted to the Office of Field Services before beginning any ECH course containing a field experience component.

 

            FBI Clearance

 

            Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance

 

            Act 34 Criminal Record Clearance

 

            Mantoux (TB) Test: valid for 2 years from date of inoculation.  This may be completed by the family doctor.  It MUST be submitted to the Keeling Health Center   Please put “ECH Online Associate Degree” on the medical form.

 

            Physical Examination: valid for 1 year from date of issuance.  This may be completed by the family doctor.  It MUST be submitted to the Keeling Health Center   Please put “ECH Online Associate Degree” on the medical form.

 

            Required Immunizations: Tetanus (valid for 10 years), Polio Vaccine (proof of 4 doses), MMR: Measles, Mumps, Rubella/Rubeolla (proof of 2 doses), Hepatitis B (proof of 3 doses). Proof can be taken from the student’s primary care physician or the student’s home medical records.  If no proof is available for these immunizations, the student should contact the keeling Health Center on campus.  The Center can tell the student how to proceed in this situation.  State law requires students to have proof of these immunizations in order to enter a childcare facility.
